Evaluation of Student Progress in the MS Genetic Counseling Program
Student progress in the MS Genetic Counseling Program will be monitored by a series of scheduled meetings with the Program Director and/or Assistant Director according to the schedule below. Self-assessment forms can be found on Box in the “Individual Meetings” folder, shared with each student.
First Year – Fall Semester
- Mid-semester
- Meet with Program Director
This is an informal meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to identify any early concerns/ issues about progress in the program.
- Meet with Program Director
- End of semester
- Meet with Program Director and Assistant Director
The purpose of this meeting is to review academic progress and to solicit/provide feedback. - Students complete self-assessment form prior to this meeting.

First Year- Spring Semester
- End of semester
